The Wi-Fi module requires 12volts and ground plus 3 wire data connection TX-RX-Gnd.  All can be located on the DB-25 sub assembly on the rear of the radio.

ATTACHING THE SMA ANTENNA CONNECTOR
The antenna assembly is a standard SMA female connector with a U.FL connector at the other end of the cable. A suitable method of attaching the SMA connector is to attach it to a standard 1/4" x 1/2" steel washer using the lock washer and nut supplied with the SMA connector, and apply a coating of JB Weld to the steel washer and place it through the existing hole at the rear of the radio, and retain in place until the epoxy hardens.

Carefully attach the U.FL connector onto the mating socket on the Wi-Fi module and using industrial grade double sided tape, attach the module to the flat cover as seen in the picture.

WIRING TO WI-FI MODULE
All connections to the Wi-Fi module are to a 10 pin header located at one end of the PCB. There is not sufficient clearance inside the radio to use a standard 10 pin female mating connector. Recommended solution is to cut the pins down to 3mm and solder the various wires to the appropriate pins.

You can either twist the two ground wires together and solder them on to pin 5 or solder a bridge across pins 5 and 10 on the underside of the PCB.

In order to make space inside the radio for the Wi-Fi module, you need to remove the empty shell connected to the RF screen cover at the front of the radio PCB. If this shell is occupied by another module you may have to use an external Wi-Link as the Wi-Fi module.
