DataNET software is the result of twelve years of evolution. It has been used by U.S. and Canadian government agencies for secure GPS tracking and IP packet data routing. The current version offers unsurpassed adaptability. Unlike ASP (web server based) software, which ties the customer to a third-party server, DataNET is client/server based. This allows our resellers to operate their own revenue generating hub or to sell to larger corporations and government agencies who want to operate their own private network. DataNET is fully integrated with MapPoint, Bing Maps, Google Maps, Google Earth, and other mapping platforms such as ESRI ArcGIS or SHP file maps. Licenses may be required for some mapping services.

DataNET consists of an IP packet data routing server called DataGate, which links to one or more client programs such as Datalink's DataHost, or third-party software connected over the Internet or Intranet. DataNET is compatible with most wireless networks including cellular, mobile radio and satellite networks on a global basis. DataGate offers an alternative solution to the more common ASP GPS tracking services that are hosted on third-party servers. Corporations and government agencies can install DataGate on their own servers in a secure environment, satisfying their security requirements. DataNET is compatible with a wide range of third-party hardware sourced directly from the distributors.

For larger companies or government agencies with a number of regional offices, DataHosts can be installed in remote computers as required, These connect to the base DataGate router over the Internet. DataGate can also be operated as a regional routing hub. An appointed reseller can host a DataGate server, providing data routing services to those companies who do not have the staff or the interest to manage their own hub, preferring to operate only the DataHost mapping and messaging screens.

DataNET provides an instant IP packet routing solution for those companies who do not have software engineers on staff, allowing them the ability to offer a time-tested AVL Software solution to their customer base. DataNET can also be modified to meet the unique requirements of government agencies and larger corporations.
